VISA

A visa is a typical authorization allowed by a country to a foreigner. It allows the foreigner to enter and temporarily stay or to leave the country. Visas typically include the exact duration of stay of the foreigner, the territory he/she may enter, the specific dates he/she may enter and his/her right to work in that country in question. However, visas are subject to entry permission by the immigration authorities at the time of physical entry and can be canceled at any time.

A visa is usually a stamp marked on the passport of the applicant by the immigration officials of the country which means that the credentials of the applicant has been confirmed and permission has been granted to him/her to enter the country for a non-permanent stay within a specified period of time. Most common types of visas are:

Single Entry Visa: This type is valid for one visit only.

Multiple Entry Visa: With this type of visa, you can visit the country within its validity period.

Tourist Visa: This kind of visa provides you with the freedom to move anywhere as a tourist within the country for a specific duration.

Work Visa: This type grants you the permission to stay for a limited period and be engaged in an employment for a certain job.

Business Visa: It’s issued for a short-time visit to organize negotiations, discussions, presentations etc but you can’t engage in any employment.

Residence Visa: This type of visa allows you to stay in the country for an extended period of time but you can’t take up any employment.

Some countries need their own citizens as well as the foreign travelers to get an ‘Exit Visa’ to be granted to leave that country.
